Stream Teams United serves as the statewide non-profit partner of the Missouri Stream Team Program and is a coalition of 23 Stream Team Associations that each work collaboratively in their local watersheds to conserve and improve Missouri’s waterways. As the Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition, Stream Teams United helps unite river stewards across the state, collaborates with Stream Team Associations on education and stewardship projects, and helps lead water and stream advocacy efforts.
As we approach our 25th year as a non-profit organization, and the 35th year of the Missouri Stream Team program, we’ll take a look at current Advocacy, Education, and Stewardship efforts throughout Missouri, including ways to be involved in advocating for our rivers and continuing to grow the Missouri Stream Team community. Plus – we’ll share a glimpse of the upcoming 2023 Paddle MO Capitol to Capitol Missouri River adventure – including special guests, new destinations, and opportunities for connecting more people to the Missouri River.
Mary Culler serves as the Director of Stream Teams United, a non-profit coalition of Missouri Stream Team Associations. She has worked in the field of water resources for over 17 years, with most of her career focusing on the rivers, lakes, and streams of Missouri. She received an M.S. in Environmental Science from Iowa State University where she conducted research on highly altered stream systems. Through her current efforts at Stream Teams United, Mary works at a statewide level to help promote and support the efforts of Missouri’s 23 Stream Team Associations, and facilitate education, stewardship, and advocacy for Missouri’s waterways.
