Wildlife Refuge Specialist Anna Weyers will be talking about the Big Muddy National Fish & Wildlife Refuge, including the history, an overview of the refuge units across the state, new property acquisitions and the new headquarters building, habitat projects and plans for the future of Big Muddy.
She will take us on a journey to explore the Big Muddy National Wildlife Refuge. Visit all 16 units of the Refuge composed of 20,000 acres and traverse over 367 miles of the Missouri River. Discover the natural and historical value of your public land and learn about opportunities where you can catch a fish, see migrating songbirds, and walk in the footsteps of early explorers like Lewis and Clark.
Experience what two special refuge units, Boone’s Crossing and Cora Island-located practically in your backyard if you live in the St. Louis Metro, have to offer. You will leave this presentation wanting to find your nature at your Big Muddy National Wildlife Refuge so be prepared for more adventure to follow!
