A walk through Bryan Haynes’ Washington, MO, gallery is a walk through time, through the diverse natural faces of Missouri and across the bridge between the real truth of place and a fantasy. Real characters from regional history come alive in an idealized Missouri landscape. His brushstrokes reveal the profound beauty of simple hills and of tree branches.
Missouri native artist Bryan Haynes will be presenting a tour through forty years of creating artwork since his graduation from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Before returning to his home state, Bryan freelanced for Disney, Warner Brothers, and Universal Studios. However, it was here in Missouri that he rediscovered the beauty and history of the Missouri River Valley landscape, and founded the Missouri New Regionalism movement.
He will share with attendees the history of the movement as well as its key identifiers. Below are several of his works:
Gallery representation includes; Bryan Haynes Gallery, Washington, Missouri; American Legacy Gallery, Kansas City; Kodner Gallery of Ladue; Manitou Galleries, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Maxwell Alexander Gallery, Los Angeles, CA.
