Big Muddy Speaker Series presents:

Restoring the Big Muddy

Illustrated river waves in white
Presented by Mike Chapman

Original Presentation- Feb. 21, 2012 Big Muddy Speaker Series in Rocheport

“Restoring the Big Muddy” – by Mike Chapman, US Army Corps of Engineers

The historic Missouri River was a completely different river system than what we have today. From a meandering, unpredictable muddy stream, we have reshaped the Mighty Mo into a more stable (but still unpredictable) swift channel.
