Big Muddy Speaker Series presents:
America’s Grassland River Revival

Presentation by George Frazier
Hosted by Missouri River Relief
George Frazier joined us for a fascinating presentation on his book Riverine Dreams: Away to the Glorious and Forgotten Grassland Rivers of America.
Drawing from years of research and travel across the North American interior, Frazier shared stories of ancient riverine forests, remarkable fish migrations, endangered prairie species, modern grizzlies roaming the plains, and ambitious efforts to restore grassland ecosystems at a continental scale. Along the way, he highlighted the important role Missouri’s rivers play in a broader movement he describes as a grassland river revival.
This presentation originally took place on Tuesday, June 10th at the Riechmann Indoor Pavilion in Columbia, MO.
